A Day at the Zoo

On Saturday we went to the Hogle Zoo.  It was a lot of fun, and a lot of HOT!  It had to be over 100 degrees.  But inspite of that we had a blast.  Baby loved to see all the animals, especially the monkeys and the birds.  Every time he sees a bird he does his sign for bird.  It looks like he is playing the finger violin.  It is adorable!

I was so excited to see the new baby elephant.  She was so cute and wrinkly!  It was so cool to see the mama elephant eat with her trunk way high up.  We were amazed at the dexterity she had in her trunk.  It was amazing.
We got to watch the bird show.  That was amazing!  Baby loved the birds.  They would fly straight at him and he would freeze and stare.  He loved it.
Its hard to see, but there is a giant iguana in the tree above baby and Brett.
Baby was exhausted by the end of our day at the zoo.  He didn't make any noise on the way home.  However, he didn't fall asleep either.  He was pretty thirsty though.  The zoo provided its patrons with giant misters and fans at a couple exhibits which were perfectly enjoyed.  I want one for my house.  We had a great day at the zoo as a family.
